Out of Commission...

My computer is having monitor issues, so it's 'in the shop'. My husband says he doesn't mind sharing his computer, but I can tell he's not so happy when I take it over....Soooooo, needless to say, I won't be uploading our Christmas pictures until old faithful (and slow) comes back to me!
We've had a great holiday! I got a new (to me) car! It's a 2007 Honda Pilot and it rocks! I got to take it on my road trip! I made some amends and I'm feeling better about most things in general.
Today, I am remembering that it was a year ago that we lost my grandpa. It was so weird to go home and not see him. It makes me sad and I know my mom is having a hard time today, but I know that grandpa would want her to celebrate tonight, just like he would if he were still here!
I've also spent a lot of time thinking about one of my friends from college who lost her brother on Christmas Day. It makes me stop and remember not to take anything for granted!
So, on this final day of 2009, make sure you let someone know how much you care about them!
Here's to 2010 and a New Year of new challenges!

Road Trip

This morning, the kids and I will load up our new (to me) czr and head to Nana's. This is the first time in a long time, I've been anywhere very far with both kids by myself! Wish me luck! It's early now, but I'm sure it won't be by the time I get everything packed and loaded and ready. I stayed up til midnight folding and readying everything, and I'm not even close to being done...I'm guessing we'll be out here by noon if we're lucky!
I love this time of year! I'm always sad when it is over. I wish I could hold on to it for just a little bit longer. DD will fly in on Monday and we'll all drive home on Thursday. Later, one of my favorite Nebraskans will be coming in for a visit! I'm hoping to relax and enjoy my family and my friends during this holiday. Once it is over, work takes a very serious turn, our focus turns to our friend that refuses to go away, the TAKS test....good times, my friends, VERY good times!

Hopefully, I'll remember to take lots of pictures and will remember to post them when I return!

Finally!

I made some changes! Since I promised the Grandma's new pictures for Christmas, one of my favorite friends took the time to take a few pictures of our family. We shall see how they turn out! No one was really in the mood to have their picture taken, but I'm holding out hope for one or two decent shots! Hopefully, I can update soon with a new picture!

Things are just moving along here...one week until we have a break....thank goodness! It's been a crazy busy time!

Everyone here has some type of minor illness, we are just upping Sweet Pea's meds to try to keep this from turning to something worse! She's done really well this season (so far). This is our first incident, and she seems to be responding to what we are doing!

We went to see our favorite Santa in Allen, Friday night. I was very impressed that SP wasn't afraid of him! She walked right up and got into his lap...pretty cute if I do say so myself!

I've fallen in a funk with life in general...I need to pick myself up and crawl out....so many relationships need to be mended and I need to do some major soul searching....prayers would be appreciated!
