Hands, Down (Feet and Mouths, too!)

After vomitting and running fever all night, we decided to visit our favorite urgent care center. Honestly, I am so thankful for this place (even if my co-pay is $75). We do try to reserve our visits for what we consider to be emergencies. When your poor baby runs a fever that is 103 and 102.8, I would think that could be classified as a minor emergency. So, we get right in and see the doctor. He checks her lungs, all clear. Her ears look great too. The minute she opens her mouth he says, "Oh, she has herpangina", and I wondered what kind of obscene names he was calling my child. Turns out, it's herpangina until you have the rash on the feet or hands, then it becomes hand, foot and mouth disease. This malady(my new favorite word) is a lovely viral infection, for which there is no treatment. Good times, here....
Back to the point of my story, I LOVE ACUTE KIDS URGENT CARE! If you are ever in doubt and your pediatrician's office is closed, go here! They rock, if my copay was the same at the doctor's office, I 'd much rather go here! In fact, as I was checking out, one of my co-workers was checking in with her child.
I'm truly hoping we're reaching the tail end of the sicknesses at this house...although, I realize it could get a whole lot worse!

What Would It Take?

For everyone in my house to be well again, that is??? Everyone in my house has had some type of malady since Spring Break antd the way it's going now, it doesn't look like we're on our way to wellness any time in the near future....
Daddy Dearest went to the doctor this week with a sinus infection and the same viral crap I had... Now, after 5 days of antibiotics, he's still not feeling so great.
Turkey Butt has had strep, sinus issues (which produced pink eye like symptoms), and a horrible cough. Right *now*, he seems to be the most well of all, but I'm sure it's open to interpretation!
Sweet Pea has had strep, and has been randomly running fever about every three days. Good times! I shouldn't forget to mention that she's also taking breathing treatments every day until she returns for her two year well check.
Me....well, 3 weeks ago, I thought I had strep, NOPE, something viral that acts/looks just like strep! A week later, I head to my family doctor to discover I have bronchitis and a sinus infection. After a week of antibiotics, I still have a horrible cough and my chest is feeling tight. Since this week is a testing week at work, it would make sense for everyone (including me) to be sick!
How many more days til summer???

The Best Concert EVAH

Nickelback that is.....It was fabulous. I am quite saddened that it is over. I am scheming a way to get to Houston in September to see the last show of their North American Tour.

Anyone want to join me?

So, Daddy Dearest and I had fabulous seats....close enough to see everything and far enough back to see over the 'pit' (thank GOD I didn't have to endure that crap!).

So normally, if I saw a guy like Chad Kroeger walking down the street, I wouldn't think too much of it (unless of course I recognized him), but giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirl, when he sings, I nearly melt.................sigh!

Anyways....good times were had and I enjoyed a night out with my very favorite guy who I love way more than Nickelback!
I tried to upload my videos, to no avail....oh well, maybe another time? I should also post all the latest with my children, our illnesses and celebrations.....yeah, I'll get to it in my free time ;o)!
