Shut Down

Today, I decided to call the doctor because my knee was still bothering me. I got an appointment this afternoon, which was pretty impressive. I didn't get to see the actual doctor, but her assistant instead. She says, most likely I strained it really good. I had an x-ray just to make sure there is nothing cracked or anything. My orders are to wear a brace and have no hard impact (i.e. running or walking fast) for at least a week. If things are not drastically better at the end of the week, she said the will order an MRI. Lovely, huh?? Just when I get motivated something like this happens. GRRRRRRR...
I talked to one of the boot camp girls and she says we'll take it as it comes, but stay home this week for sure.....DAMMIT!

My Boys Are Coming Back!

I don't know what rock I've been hiding under, but DD informed me tonight that Nickelback is coming back to DFW in April! I am so excited, I feel like I did when I was reading Twilight....sigh!

I will have tickets and Daddy Dearest (who claims to dislike concerts) will be going with me!
I'm so pumped! I love to go to concerts with my girls, but I love to go more with my hubby!
Yeah!
I've been bustin' my 'arse' at bootcamp and the scales are ever so slowly heading south! I do love it! It's hard, but sooo worth it! Last night, I had some knee issues. Today, I hobbled around and tried not to irritate it much. When I started to get ready for camp tonight, I noticed it was very swollen. I decided to fore go camp tonight and I've been perched on the couch with my icepack all evening. I am hoping (and praying) this is something minor and I can be back on my way to skinny next week! DD says he bets not, but what does he know really?? Keep thinking positive thoughts, right??

WHAT.....?!?!?!?

Woohoo, week 2 of boot camp started tonight, and I must say, I REALLY enjoy it. It's an awesome workout and a great chance to do something for myself. Daddy Dearest and I also realize that we need to do more than just the exercising. So, we've reached the decision that we really must work harder at making smarter nutrition choices. It doesn't make any sense to eat junk and indulge ourselves all the time, but it also can't work if we deprive ourselves of EVERYTHING that we enjoy.
So, on with the point of this post... At our house, we LOVE Jason's Deli. We love the food, we love to eat there, but we especially LOVE the fact that they deliver. They advertise themselves as being 'health conscious' and natural with no trans fat, yeah, yeah, woohoo. Our routine usually means we order JD's on Mondays (as we did tonight). DD and I usually have the Taco Salad with Chicken Chili, it is sooo yummy. I can honestly say that I have eaten it at least twice a month for probably the last 10 months. It's my VERY favorite. Well, tonight, in my effort to be more 'aware' I asked DD to check out the nutrition information on my beloved salad. I nearly fell to the floor.... 105 grams of fat??? 1900 calories??? I seriously considered walking upstairs into the bathroom and puking it all back up. Gross, I know, but it is what it is...makes me sick to think how many of these salads I have eaten. No more Jason's Deli for me....I'm sad. Gotta find a new vice, any suggestions?

Roller Coaster Ride...

I don't have the time or energy to get into it completely tonight, but our trip home turned out to be not what we had hoped for. We lost my wonderful grandfather on New Year's Eve. It was a shock and has been very hard to take. His funeral was Saturday morning and my nephew's wedding was Saturday evening. We came home today and I am wiped out. I'll have more to share soon!
I can't believe I have to go back to work tomorrow...I'm sooo tired and run down. If I'm not sick before the end of the week, it will be a miracle!
